Isi and Me

Isi and Me (2003) represents a failed dialogue with my father, which illustrates the discourse of troubled relationship. Through sound and a visual stimulus, this installation portrays a breakdown in communication between a father and a daughter trapped in the turmoil of emotional disconnection. Isi and Me is my attempt to capture the inability of language to describe what cannot be said with words, at the point where language fails us and where we are failed by it.
